PCC gears up for another Christmas Cantata

Pulantubig Church of Christ (PCC) gears up for another event we're looking forward to have--the second Christmas Cantata.


This December 2015 is the Christmas Cantata which will showcase song numbers, interpretative dancing, and role-playing. The show will depict what is the real meaning of Christmas in our lives. Something new about this year's cantata is the participation of the adult members of the congregation.

The first Christmas Cantata was held five years ago in December 2010 and was presented by the kids, juniors, and the youth of Pulantbig Church of Christ. This year's cantata will be very special because of the pastor's participation in the show itself along with the church board of trustees, committee members and the adults of PCC.

"We're trying to make this event successful and memorable," claims the participants.

Attorney May Flor Duka directs the Christmas cantata. Practice sessions are every Saturday afternoons. The Board of Officers pleads the brethren for prayers and heartfelt support for this year's Christmas Cantata.

A cantata is "a musical composition consisting of vocal solos, choruses, etc. often with instrumental accompaniment, used as a setting for a story to be sung but not acted." (www.yourdictionary.com/cantata)

Pray without ceasing. For everything, do it all for the glory of God. Yesterday, November 24 at 6:00 PM marked the end of the 24-Hour Chain Prayer that was held in our chapel at Pulantubig Church of Christ in Pulantubig, Dumaguete City. A short fellowship and sumptuous buffet was served at the end of the service as the brethren smiled and enjoyed each others' company.
